I'm dreaming of a ..........

Ah yes, a White Christmas would be soooooo lovely, but i must be realistic. Darn!
if i could roll back time about 100 years to when Virginia had Real Winters, it would almost be worth sacrificing some modern day wonders.................well, almost!

nah, what i'm really dreaming of is ...you guessed it...more quilts!

After the holidays are over with, i have dreams of creating another red and white quilt (since someone else is getting my brand new red and white quilt with lots of Alex Anderson's fabrics this Christmas). So some new red and white fat quarters will be going on my 'must purchase' list for the Mid-Atlantic Quilt show in Feb.

And then there's the Tennessee Waltz quilt that has been featured on Quilt in A Day on the RFD network channel for the past 2 Tuesday afternoons. I haven't heard of too many people who have made this one, but it's a beauty for sure, and something i've always wanted to try and make!

Meanwhile progress is being made on the Christmas quilts. Three quilts are completely finished, and I only have one left to bind, and two more to quilt and bind. I think that's about 2 1/2 weeks of work, and then i can breathe again, LOL.

Lots of work, to be sure. but these occasions where one can spend the time and create an heirloom for someone who is loved, are worth every minute. the experience of sleeping under a a quilt that drapes around you, light as a feather and yet so snuggly warm, is priceless.

I have the Tennessee Waltz "Quilt in a Day" book. It's lovely, but so far it hasn't called too loudly. It's those left and right triangles, I'm not fond of them!
