Smack dab in the middle!

Well, it's been an interesting day.

We have a 'visitor' from the South who stopped by to pay us a call today, and tomorrow, and the next day. She blew into town with quite a lot of fanfare, even bumping the local Veteran's day celebrations with news of her arrival.
There are lot's of news clips and pictures on the local TV stations telling of her arrival, her past, and her future traveling plans.
By Saturday she's supposed to be history.

She's sharing generous amounts of her chief assets, water and wind, while she's here, thus transforming many landlocked homes into instant waterfront property. It's a good thing that the local property tax asssesments have already hit the mail boxes before she blew into town.

Many newscasters have compared this visit to previous visits by her famous sisters in years past. Whether her visit will outdo theirs remains to be seen, but she has not been shy about letting her presence be known.

those in the know say that today's arrival will be eclipsed by tomorrow's grand performance, when she pulls out all the stops.
Many people have visited their local stores, stocking up on all kinds of necessities in preparation for her arrival and stay here-- short though it may be.
Some people might even gather together into makeshift quarters, leaving their homes and sleeping wherever they find a space, all on account of her short stay with us.

Stay tuned for further developments!

stay dry and be careful. We don't have the weather you do, sometimes we just have "water water everywhere". Today DH got the combine stuck. The neighbor had his stuck in the morning. After DH was "unstuck"--he called it a day! Just plain old too wet.
