I found my quilt room!

LOL, i bet you thought i was lost, it's been so long between posts.
I have been busy both sewing and pushing buttons lately...getting some wonderful fabric in my stash, and with big plans for lots of quilt-making this year.

First up is the new Beach House line from Moda. This is really dreamy, and i'm having a wonderful time with it. I got a Jelly Roll (you know me and jelly rolls!), and some of the beautiful blue with roses for the borders. I also got some of the pretty sampler fabric (in blue) and the co-ordinating stripe to make a pillow case with.

I'm working with a pattern called 'Vintage Memories" by Sherri K. Falls that uses stars and patched squares that look like they're set on point--but they're not!
i am using about 6 yards of fabric from my stash for this quilt as well, (and depleating my neutrals!)

let's see, what else have i gotten in lately......Oh yes! my first ever fat quarter tower!!
I've never been so brave as to bite the bullet and order a tower before. But when i saw the Windmill kit in that new Aviary fabric (and all those pinwheels!) I did it--i pushed the button. that package came in today, so I'll probably be starting on that quilt towards the end of the month.

I told DH the kit was my early birthday present---I love it when wonderful fabric releases just "happen" to come in time for me to stock up this way. Do you think i should have more than one birthday a year??? If it means getting more fabric, it just might be worth it!

Oh, I'm glad you found your sewing room again! Sherri Falls is a MN quilter, and has some lovely patterns to make up. Can't wait to see you you're doing! And no, you can't have too many birthdays, as long as the # stays the same!

for some reason when you comment on my blog it doesn't forward to my mailbox, I'm not trying to ignore you! Yes, a "snow be gone" product would be nice! I am SO ready for grass and warm weather, but then that brings weeds and skeeters! Ah well, would much rather deal with them!
