Sunday Stash Report

Well, i'm not up there yet with some of the other Stash Busters (for better or for worse), but hopefully next year's totals will be better than this year.

fabric added in since last month: 52 yards
fabric in this year to date: 233 yards

no fabric out this week, since i'm still finishing up UFO's
fabric out year to date: 244 yards

(not so) grand total busted: 11 yards

i've been buying smart lately--just getting what i needed for planned quilts.
that's worked out pretty good ...until earlier this week, that is.

One of my favorite stores had two pieces of very old Paint Box fabric from Thimbleberries on a special sale. it's not a pretty fabric to look at, but I found that cut down into strips it makes the best binding fabric for rustic quilts.
i was literally down to my very last partial strip of this fabric earlier this year, so i just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get 5 more yards (total) in two different colors.
And yes i already counted it into the above totals.

next year i hope to have some better totals.

Well, then that was necessary fabric, instead of speculation fabric! Definitely a good buy!

Sometimes the binding makes the quilt, you just have to have the right one!
