I heard them early in the morning, calling to each other as they flew over.
Our little lake is home to some Christmas Geese, resting on their migratory flight away from all the cold and snow up North.
They have Wintered over with us before, but not in such large numbers as we have today.
They divided themselves up into two groups on the lake, one larger group in back, and a smaller group up front.
After taking the pics i began counting.....over a hundred in the front group, and many more than that in the back.

That was fun to read about your Christmas Geese. Quilted flying geese? Nope. Roasted Christmas Goose? Nope. Migratory geese? Yup!!! Hope you have a very Happy New Year.
