the rest of the week..Quilt for an Hour Project

i'm going to a guild quilt show on Friday, so i'll catch this blog up a little early for the week. Whatever i don't get done today will be caught up on the weekend.

Hours 3,4,and 5 of Judy's project deal with making quarter square blocks for the stars. In the first picture I cut the star point squares (C)twice diagonally. I did the same with the squares letters B and F.

I then matched up the pairs of F and C together, and B and C together. Keep the star point fabric (C) on the bottom of your sandwich as you sew (next pic).
be sure to start sewing as shown from the top of the HST and sew down the right hand leg. the angle of the block facing you should be from top left to lower right as you sew these.
and in this case the seams are pressed toward the star point fabric (C).

the last pic shows the next step, that of sewing the second set of quarter square triangle blocks, fabrics B, C, and G.
