little by little i am working my way thru 'Shine on Bayou Cane" and the "Jelly Braid" projects. 'Shine on" is now sashed and in one piece. I chose to do my green (dark fabric) sashing just a little differently.
I knew that i would want the blocks to line up evenly across the quilt, so i figured that the way to do that easily was to trim the vertical sashing into 9 1/2 inch long strips. I also added 2 1/2 inch square cornerstones (also in the dark fabric). it was a little more work, but the top came out beautifully.
