the first batch of heavy rain has just cleared Richmond, and the eye wall has just crossed the VA/NC state line at Emporia. it looks to be traveling up Interstate 95 towards Richmond at the present time..
the heavy rain around the eye wall has decreased and is not as wide as it was previously at 7 am.
at the curent time we have no rain but still winds gusting to about 20-25 mph--enough to cause ripples on the lake and to loose some early-turning leaves from the trees.
